I helped LinkAge to get significant media coverage, including print, TV and radio, when their Walking Football Team played on the pitch at Ashton Gate Stadium during the halftime break of the Bristol City vs Wolverhampton Wanderers game in August 2013.

I arranged a guest spot for two of the players on BBC Points West (regional news programme, c.250K viewers):

The story was also picked up by the Bristol Post (regional newspaper, circulation c.33K).

Combined with promotion of the story by LinkAge through its own digital channels both before and after the event, the media coverage helped LinkAge to reach thousands of local people and to raise the profile of the work they do to support older people.

As an added bonus, LinkAge was contacted by another Walking Football team in the North of England, who had seen the coverage, to arrange their first ever tournament!
